Know the Vision

Access to Early childhood education in Guinea is limited. The limited number of Pre-primary schools and their cost play a significant role in the low rate of pre-school enrollment of children between the ages of 0 and 3 years. Early childhood is, however, the most crucial step in human development, the most crucial step in ensuring quality education in the long term.

It is for this reason that I’ve decided to develop a children’s books series: '' Les Aventures de Sékou '' (The Adventures of Sekou). These books are distributed free to the children of Guinea. Studies repeatedly show early exposure of children to reading contributes significantly to their academic, physical, psychomotor, cognitive, social and emotional development.

'' Les Aventures de Sékou '' (The Adventures of Sekou) are inspired by the daily lives and experiences of children in Guinea. Thus, reading is more enjoyable and leaves a practical and concrete impact.

I sincerely wish to thank all those who believed in this project: CIS MEDIAS, C.N.S.S, L’Harmattan Guinee, Conakry World Book Capital 2017 ... and I sincerely hope this is only the beginning of a long collaboration.

The children of today are the future of the nation. Together we can overcome and break the vicious circle of poverty and inequality by investing in their education.
